Picture your life two months from now. It’s a warm Saturday afternoon in June. You’re looking cute coming back from sipping mimosas at brunch with your BFFs and you’re ready to head out to lounge around by the pool for the rest of the day. The sun is out, the threat of Monday is still 24 whole hours away, and life is good. Now, picture yourself. What do you look like? Are you out there all pasty and dry in your brand new summer dress? Of course not! You’re glowing to the gods with your fake tan and your shimmery body oil and you know why? Because there is nothing better than glowy skin in the summertime. Can I get an amen?
I know what you’re thinking, “But Angelica, it’s barely Spring and it’s not even hot out yet.” Well maybe for you babes in Canada, but here in Sunny San Diego there’s about a week between Christmas and Summer and I’ve really held out as long as I could. TL;DR at the bottom – don’t worry, I won’t be offended.
Now, there are plenty of options out there when it comes to a good body oil but your girl has fallen in love with two gorgeous products that will bring out your inner JLo and I just couldn’t wait any longer to share them with you.
The first is the Herbivore Rose Quartz Illuminating Body Oil that I snagged from Thread & Seed, a tiny little boutique conveniently located just an angry-walk away from my office. This product is 4oz, will last you for 12 months after opening, and retails for $48.
This is my OG shimmer oil. It has fine glitters in it that sparkle in the sunshine and the rose fragrance smells so clean and fresh against warm skin. It’s also really great at sinking into your skin over time so you’re not walking around sticky all day. This is the more subtle of the two that I’ll be sharing with you today.
PAO: 12 months
Clean Rose Scent
Healthy Subtle Glow

Warm Bum Bum Scent
Glow to the Gods
Accompanied by their cult favorite Bum Bum scent, this glow oil has me anxiously awaiting the moment it becomes appropriate to beg everyone I know to accompany me to the beach. It’s not as glittery of a formula as the Rose Quartz oil, but still provides a shimmery glow like you’ve been bathing in Jeffree Star’s Liquid Frost.
